Privacy Policy

This site exists to share information about the novel The Silence on the Line by Jordi Gaxiola, published by In Nebula Lux. We respect your privacy and collect as little information as possible. Here is exactly what happens when you visit.

What we collect when you visit

This website is hosted on Vercel. Like all web hosts, Vercel automatically logs basic technical information for every visit: IP address, browser type, the page you requested, and the time of the request. This is standard for any website on the internet and is used only for security, error monitoring, and basic traffic analysis. We do not personally review these logs.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking tool on this site at this time. We do not place advertising cookies. We do not build profiles of visitors.

What we collect when you contact us

If you email us at contact@innebulalux.com, your message and email address arrive in our inbox. We use that information only to respond to you. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not share your address with third parties.

What we share with third parties

When you click a "Buy Now" button on this site, you leave thesilenceontheline.com and arrive on Amazon's website. Once you are on Amazon, you are subject to Amazon's privacy policy, not ours. We have no access to your Amazon account, your purchase history, or any payment information.

Cookies

This site does not set any cookies of its own. Your browser may receive standard technical cookies from Vercel for the purpose of serving the page; these contain no personal information.

Your rights

If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, Mexico, Brazil, or any region with data protection laws, you have rights regarding any personal data held about you. Because we collect almost no personal data, in most cases there is nothing to delete or correct. If you have emailed us and would like your message and email address removed from our records, write to contact@innebulalux.com and we will delete it within thirty days.

Changes to this policy

If we add features that change what we collect — for example, an email newsletter signup, a contact form, or analytics — we will update this policy and note the change in the "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page.

№ 02 · Terms of Use

Terms of Use

By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who we are

This website is operated by In Nebula Lux, the publishing imprint of Jordi Gaxiola. The novel The Silence on the Line and all promotional materials on this site are works of fiction and original creative property.

Intellectual property

All content on this site — including the novel itself, the cover art, the video, the website design, the editorial copy, the trade dress of In Nebula Lux, and the title The Silence on the Line — is the intellectual property of Jordi Gaxiola and/or In Nebula Lux. You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, or use these materials commercially without written permission.

You may, of course, share links to this site, quote brief passages for review or commentary purposes (this is what fair use is for), and discuss the book wherever you like. Reading the book is encouraged. Pirating it is not.

The site is provided as-is

We do our best to keep this website accurate, available, and free of errors. We cannot guarantee that the site will always be online, that every link will work, or that information about pricing or availability will be perfectly current at every moment — Amazon listings can change, books can go temporarily out of stock, and the internet occasionally breaks.

Use this site at your own risk. We are not liable for any damages, direct or indirect, arising from the use of this website.

External links

This site links to Amazon and to In Nebula Lux. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any external website.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, where In Nebula Lux is based, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If a dispute arises, we both agree to attempt to resolve it informally first by writing to contact@innebulalux.com before pursuing any other remedy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date below tells you when. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

№ 03 · Affiliate Disclosure

Affiliate Disclosure

We want to be transparent about how the "Buy Now" buttons on this site work.

Amazon Associates

In Nebula Lux is, or intends to be, a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn referral fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites including Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.ca, and other regional Amazon storefronts.

What this means in plain language

When you click a "Buy Now" link on this site and then purchase the book on Amazon, In Nebula Lux may receive a small commission from Amazon — at no additional cost to you. Your price is exactly the same whether you arrive at Amazon through our link or directly. The commission helps support the cost of running this site and producing future books.

To be entirely clear: we already earn a royalty on every copy of this book Amazon sells, regardless of how the buyer arrived. The affiliate commission is in addition to that, and only applies when you arrive at Amazon via a link from this website.

Why we disclose this

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires affiliate relationships to be disclosed to readers. Even though we are based in Mexico, many of our visitors are in the United States, and we follow FTC guidelines as a baseline standard. We also believe transparency is the right default — you deserve to know when a recommendation comes with a financial relationship attached.

Our recommendation is honest

The author of this book is the operator of this site, so the "recommendation" here is straightforward: this is the author's own work, sold at retail through Amazon, and we want you to read it. There is no hidden conflict of interest beyond that. We are not recommending other people's books on this site, and if we ever do, we will disclose any affiliate relationships clearly at that time.
